Running with a Purpose

Over 30 Alpha Testing employees, family, and friends huddled around Klyde Warren Park in Dallas on a freezing Saturday morning in February 2013, for the 2nd annual Form Follow Fitness 5k run. Alpha was one of the sponsors for the event, which benefited the Dallas Center for Architecture. And appropriately, the route was planned to highlight architectural icons throughout downtown. Hot coffee, energy drinks, and a bright blue t-shirt helped ease the pain of the 3 mile loop.5k run

Ironman in San Antonio

Phil Johnson - CMT Manager RunningWe have never had a new employee delay a start date for an Ironman Competition – until we asked Phil Johnson to be a part of the Alpha Testing team as CMT Manager in San Antonio. If someone has trained for, and actually entered, the Ironman France, who are we to put the brakes on a nice trip to Nice, France? Heck, some of us offered to carry his bags for him!

What is included in an Ironman? 2.4 miles of swimming in the Mediterranean Sea, 112 miles on a bicycle, and 26 miles on foot (Running!) – all a part of the same event. Look out San Antonio!

Common Grounds – Waco, TX

Located on 8th Street near BU campus, Common Grounds is great if you can take being among ALL University students (Go Bears!). However, staff tends to move the businessman up to the front of the line. Sure makes me glad I’m no longer taking finals! Common Grounds Coffee Shop in Waco, Tx
