Remember renting VHS movies at Hollywood Video? Owner, Mark Wattles has always been an entrepreneur. Founder of Hollywood Video, HomeAdvisor.com, and owner of 40 plus restaurants, Wattles is returning to his home state and brewing up some competition in the Texas coffee industry with 151 Coffee in Flower Mound and North Richland Hills. These 500 SF coffee kiosks are all about speed – double drive-in’s, no food, just coffee. The buildings are still under construction, but with the help of Alpha Testing, they will soon be brewing quick morning fuel for North Texas.
Ever wonder how large a drill rig is? Our Marketing team found out during an internal training. The three took a field trip to Balch Springs, TX – home of Alpha’s drill rig fleet. Drilling Manager, Jon Harris wore the tour hat for the day and even provided donuts for early morning fuel. The operations house Alpha’s 12 rigs, a water tank, fueling station, full-time mechanic, offices, core machines, ATV transports, 9 support trucks, a bulldozer, and backhoe. No drilling operations tour is complete without a picture of the team and the ATV drill rig we at Alpha endearingly call “Fluffy”. Shout out to Jon Harris for a great tour!
The bass fishing duo is at it again! Alpha’s Blas Loya and Chris Eubanks went to Alba, TX this past April for the ASA/TEXO 2017 Bass Classic Tournament. These competitions are all about having the biggest catch – and no, fish stories don’t count here. The two demonstrated their fish whispering skills on Lake Fork Marina, coming in 16th out of 120 competitors.
