It’s not every day that you get to test ride one of your projects, but when you work on a roller coaster, the odds do increase! SeaWorld hosted a contractor appreciation day for those firms who played a hand in creating the newest ride at the San Antonio Park, Wave Breaker: The Rescue Coaster. Key players from our San Antonio Alpha office, their families, and about 400 others attended the event and got to experience the new roller coaster for themselves – breaking in the waves, so to speak!
As a thank you for all the hard work, Alpha CMT Project Managers (and a few freeloaders!) took a trip to Globe Life Park to watch the Texas Rangers take on the Boston Red Socks. Great seats, a selfie stick, and nine innings – it doesn’t get much better than that.
The Alpha Testing All Stars are back AND in red jerseys this year. The new look must be working because the team is currently in first place with a 9-2 record. Players from Alpha Testing, Cude Engineers, J3 Company, Rock Engineering, Tetra Tech, and Zachry Construction make up the team. The league is halfway through the season with games every Wednesday or Thursday evening. Come out and support our San Antonio basketball team!
Alpha Testing’s Alberto Flores and Intern, Nina Hernandez got to venture beyond the desk on Wednesday, June 21st to attend the groundbreaking of an Alpha project. Representatives from Dallas County, City of Dallas, and City of Richardson partook in the ceremony and got to move the first bit of dirt, initiating the start of the Spring Valley Road improvements project. Alpha will provide construction materials testing for the street improvements and are excited for more “dirt work” to come!
