This week marks the 50th anniversary of
the Apollo 11 lunar landing, and Space Center Houston is celebrating all week long! The highlight of the celebrations will be a day long outdoor festival on July 20th, including a Family STEM Zone, book signings, Apollo-themed learning experiences, and a concert featuring WALK THE MOON and Phillip Phillips. Did you know Alpha has worked on multiple projects at Johnson Space Center? One of these projects is Building 21 (pictured below), the Human Health and Performance Laboratory. This facility houses the biomedical research team which supports astronaut health, safety and performance. This team will be integral to NASA’s future explorations, including creating technologies that will one day allow humans to travel to Mars!
