With college football season just around the corner, we know that traffic heading north on I-35 is about to get even crazier than usual. If you need to grab a bite on your way to Norman or Stillwater, we suggest a stop at a legendary Gainesville spot. The Hungry Hippo Sub Shop is located just east of I-35, about an hour north of Dallas/Fort Worth. Voted “Cooke County’s Best Sub Shop,” they’ve been serving Gainesville’s best sandwiches since 1979. Thanks to Alpha’s Chris Pape for sending this photo from his recent visit!

A motorcycle trip in May – what could
go wrong? Who knew that on May 10th, 2019 – it would be cold (well, 51 degrees) and damp (well, actually pouring rain) in the Kerrville area. Jeff Wilt found himself in serious need of caffeine, warmth, and a dry seat in Medina, TX.
Thank heaven he found The Core Coffee House on Hwy 16, featuring Espresso, Pizza and Prayer. One addition, a wonderful small dog that had a 6 foot vertical – and proved it when encouraged. Great people and a warm cuppa to cover all needs.
Across the street – an item from another place and time.
We try to bring you new and unique coffee shops on our blog, but we were surprised to find Joshua Rogg setting up his own coffee shop in our Royal Lane office this morning! Members of our team enjoyed freshly ground, Chemex® brewed coffee, and it definitely gives Starbucks a run for its money. Head to https://www.chemexcoffeemaker.com/ to learn more.

Did you know Alpha has worked on multiple projects at Johnson Space Center? One of these projects is Building 21 (pictured below), the Human Health and Performance Laboratory. This facility houses the biomedical research team which supports astronaut health, safety and performance. This team will be integral to NASA’s future explorations, including creating technologies that will one day allow humans to travel to Mars!
Our Alpha family celebrated the 4th of July a little early last week, taking the opportunity to enjoy some food, fellowship, and even a photo booth! Here are some of our favorite pictures from the celebrations!
