As a thank you for all the hard work, Alpha CMT Project Managers (and a few freeloaders!) took a trip to Globe Life Park to watch the Texas Rangers take on the Boston Red Socks. Great seats, a selfie stick, and nine innings – it doesn’t get much better than that.
Alpha’s President, Brian Powell and Chairman, Jim Hillhouse “took aim at hunger” on April 27 at the Christian Community Action (CCA) Sporting Clay Shoot. Alberto Flores and Jacob Wadlington also joined the group as volunteers for the day. Alpha was a sponsor for the event which included 13 stations, a raffle, and BBQ for fuel. The clay shoot raised funds to benefit CCA’s mission to alleviate suffering, bring hope, and change lives. CCA has served the DFW area for over 43 years, providing food and crisis management and relief services. To volunteer, donate, or learn more about this nonprofit organization, visit their website.
Alpha Testing’s Business Development team took “team bonding” to a new level at Red Door Escape Room during a thee day training last week. What’s an escape room you say? Picture 8 people in a dimly lit room with puzzles and hidden clues. Doesn’t seem that bad, right? Oh yeah, and lock all the doors from the outside. The goal? Find the clues, solve them, and escape in 60 minutes. While the crew did not beat the 11% odds of escape, they did have a blast trying!
Each year at our annual Christmas parties, it has been an Alpha tradition to recognize those who embrace “The Alpha Way” with the Founder’s Award. This year’s recipients of the 2016 Founder’s Award are Chris Pape (Dallas), Rickey Ferguson (Dallas), Gerry Holguin (Fort Worth), Gregory Gilbert (Houston), and Gabi Hernandez (San Antonio). Congratulations to all and thank you for your exceptional service!
Everyone does turkey, but Alpha’s San Antonio office decided to veer from tradition at their Thanksgiving Tamale lunch last week. The team was joined by their Chaplain, Chuck and reasons to be thankful were shared around the horn. A new tradition perhaps?
Staff from each of our four offices came together under one roof for a two day conference at the Gaylord Texan. On Friday morning there were many familiar voices, but new faces. By Saturday afternoon, we’d like to think that the team parted with all familiar faces. Here are some highlights from the conference and Texas Rangers game!
Alpha’s business development and marketing team hit the books (and pins) in March during a three day training event. For the first time this year, our BD/MKTG team was under one roof – we even got some of the engineering staff involved the first day! But don’t worry, it wasn’t all hard work and no play.
Tuesday lunch was held at the Omni with a visit from Brian Powell and Wednesday evening the bowling began at Pin Stack. Strikes, gutter balls, turkeys, a few granny shots, and great company were all part of the team bonding event. Who had the wicked spin? We’ll never tell.
