Did you know Alpha has worked on multiple projects at Johnson Space Center? One of these projects is Building 21 (pictured below), the Human Health and Performance Laboratory. This facility houses the biomedical research team which supports astronaut health, safety and performance. This team will be integral to NASA’s future explorations, including creating technologies that will one day allow humans to travel to Mars!
We’ve rounded up some of the best ways to celebrate the 4th of July throughout Texas. Whether you’re heading to a local parade, catching a ballgame, or just ready to watch some fireworks, we’ve found something for you! Check out the links below for events near you!
Much of Texas has been blessed with a “cool” month of June, but this is still Texas so we all know it’s just a matter of time before those temperatures hit the triple digits. If you’re looking for some air conditioned fun, head over to Houston’s Tea and Victory for some old-fashioned board games! Grab a couple of your favorite people to play one, or a few, of their over 500 board games! You read that right, over FIVE HUNDRED. Have some friendly competition while enjoying some loose-leaf tea, locally roasted coffee, and unique treats.
Visit http://teaandvictory.com/ to learn more about one of Houston’s first board game cafes.
What started in 1991 as only a sno-ball stand, Bob’s Taco Station in Rosenberg, TX now serves arguably the best tacos in Fort Bend County! Bob’s has been featured on Guy Fieri’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” and serves up tacos and burritos on their homemade tortillas. You can also buy tamales by the dozen! Alpha’s Karlee Rios is a family-friend of Bob himself and says the food is definitely worth the stop. For their menu and location, visit: https://bobstacos.com
Friendly reminder, Mother’s Day is May 12th! If you struggle to find the perfect something for that special mom in your life, remember that time with you and her loved ones is probably what she wants more than anything. One of the best ways to get everyone together? Invite all of her favorite people for a delicious brunch! We’ve taken the guesswork out of it for you, and rounded up a few lists of the best brunch spots in Dallas, Fort Worth Houston, and San Antonio. Make those reservations early!
Happy Easter from Alpha Testing®! Here are some of the awesome entries from our first (but hopefully not last!) egg decorating contest. From animals and insects, to noteworthy pop culture themes, everyone who participated did an amazing job showcasing their arts & crafts skills.
We wish all employees along with their families & friends a blessed Easter weekend!
Next week is spring break for most of the schools in Alpha’s service regions, so for those of you staying close to home, check out these websites for places to visit during your “staycation!” Don’t forget to send us photos in your Alpha gear from your spring break adventures!
