The Old Town Market, which happens to be one of Brian Powell’s favorite spots, is moving! A new store will be coming to Double Oak soon, with Alpha providing materials testing for the project. This new location will continue to please the public with awesome barbecue, just like the original store has since 1977.
This store for choice meats has even been recognized by world renowned chef, Bobby Flay. The owners and experienced butchers want to give their customers the best experience that simply can’t be found anywhere else.
Their new location is expected to open in Spring 2019. For more information, check out their Facebook page here.
This recommendation comes from Alpha’s Hannah McAdams, a Cypress, TX native. Located in Hannah’s hometown, Hanan’s Café features a “chalkboard menu” meaning the options change daily. They use local ingredients to make healthy yet delicious meals for breakfast and lunch. Pair the banana French toast tower with a classic Americano or a Honey Bun Latte. The eggs benedict is amazing too!

Turkey is the beacon of Thanksgiving and let’s face it, you will probably be consuming some this Thursday. Why not try something new? We’re not asking you to give up turkey this year, but giving you five different ways of cooking it.
1. Trash Can Turkey – Don’t judge before you try.
2. Deep Fried – What’s more American than this?
3. Turducken – Stuffing inside a duck inside a chicken inside a turkey? Yes.
4. Crock Pot – Keeps the moisture in and the headache out.
5. On the Grill – Because BBQ turkey just sounds good.
